Oriana Cardin
Oriana is a working public health professional, a wife, and a mom of 2 incredible little boys. After receiving her master's degree in public health, she immersed herself in her career providing advocacy and support for those who need it most, addressing health inequities, and breaking down barriers to access and resource availability.
She has always taken pride in becoming successful in her career. Everything she learned through her professional experience surely would help her navigate having a baby. The reality of becoming a working mom, with a husband in surgical residency, quickly set in and her priorities changed.
As a new mom, she experienced the overwhelming weight of postpartum depression firsthand. The journey was, and still is, challenging and filled with moments of doubt and despair. However, with the support of loved ones and professional guidance, she has found the strength to seek help and embark on a journey of healing. Now, she is passionate about sharing her story to reassure other moms that they are not alone and that there is hope on the other side of PPD.
She believes that by openly discussing the realities of postpartum depression and offering guidance and support, we can break down the stigma surrounding maternal mental health and foster a culture of understanding and acceptance.
